Lets chant Gayatri for the Amazone !

Excerpts: From The Heart: Talk to Ashram Residences at Muddenahalli - Number Two 13 March, 2017. Madhu was with Swami when the forest nearby was burning as the area had been suffering from drought. They wanted to help, “Swami thought for some moments and said, “Chant the Gayatri Mantra 108 times.” "I asked, “Swami, is there a purpose? Should I do it for a particular purpose?” “From the bottom of your heart, sincerely feel for this forest and the inhabitants of the forest and chant Gayatri for their welfare; nothing for yourself.” "So I chanted Gayatri Mantra 108 times with sincere prayer for the welfare of the forest dwellers. Note: Heavy rain came. Fires were put out. Drought ended. "That day, Swami told me, “See, I told you. Even if one person with sincere feelings prays for the welfare of the world, it can change the karma for everyone.” "I learned two things from this: "First, that God is helpless in front of the karmic laws of His own creation. He kept saying, “What to do? This is their karma. They have killed animals, they have destroyed the forests and ill-treated nature. They have become selfish. What can I do?” "Second thing I learned was how to circumvent the Law of Karma and make an exception. If somebody prays to God for the welfare of others, one can bend the rule. "Swami said, “This is just an example. If you take up this path daily, if you do some sadhana, some japa, some kind of practice – not for your own sake but for the sake of the world – can you imagine what kind of results you could achieve?” Another Incident: “Swami has asked us to chant ‘Samastha Lokah Sukhino Bhavanthu’(may all the beings in all the worlds be happy). He has thereby covered the entire universe as a whole; not only this earth, but all the worlds that exist therein, at all levels and dimensions. “I want to bring it to the notice of everyone here that we must make our efforts and do our part in helping Swami help all of us. He cannot do anything on His own. His hands are tied. But the moment we pray for the welfare of others, forgetting ourselves, that gives Him a reason to go and help others. Otherwise, He is helpless. “An incident happened a couple of years ago when I was in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. At that time, Swami’s mission in the Subtle Form was not known openly, like it is today. Swami called me one day and said, “Chant ‘Samastha Lokah Sukhino Bhavanthu’ and tell all your friends that they should also chant ‘Samastha Lokah Sukhino Bhavanthu’.” “I learned that there was a big tsunami heading towards the east coast of India, and so when He called me and commanded thus, a few of my friends and I got together and chanted. Eventually, we got to know that the threatening tsunami petered out in mid-ocean and the whole disaster was averted. “Once Swami asked us to stop chanting, out of sheer curiosity, I asked Him, “Swami, did our chanting have anything to do with the approaching tsunami?” “He replied nonchalantly, “Don’t think like that. You were praying for everybody. Just be happy that you prayed for everyone. “Why do you want to know what happened as a result of that prayer? “Whether it fetched results or went to waste is none of your concern. “If somebody selflessly sits down and prays from the bottom of their heart, ‘I must help. I must be of some use. I must be able to give some joy to others,’ that one good thought or one noble action will do much more good than a hundred people doing wrong, because goodness is so powerful.”
