80 years of "Manasa Bhajare Guru Charanam, Dustara Bhava Sagara Taranam"

 On this day, 80 years ago, in a small, unknown town called Uravakonda in Madras in South India, a 14-year-old boy named Sathya Narayana Raju returned from school in the afternoon, threw away his books in front of his sister-in-law, Smt . Susheela, and stated more emphatically -

 "I am no longer your Sathya! I am Sai Baba! My devotees await me. I have my work to do.! I am leaving!"

He moved to the garden of a neighboring house (Subhama's house), and for the people gathered there, he sang his first Bhajan

- Manasa Bhajare Guru Charanam, Dustara Bhava Sagara Taranam (Oh Mind Worship Guru's Feet and cross the turbulent ocean of this mundane existence).

This is the day to remember the statement often repeated by Bhagavan Baba: "I am Divine, but you are also Divine. The only difference is that I know about my Divinity and you are not aware of it".

You can believe it or not. This place is a very worthy place, it is a land of penance and sacrifice. In Tretha Yuga, the Ashrama of Vishwamitra was situated in this area. Rama and Lakshmana fought against Tataki here. It is not right for us to think that this is a common place. And to think that people here are common is also a mistake. The same Rama came as Krishna, the same Krishna came as Sai. The people around you, who love you, who worship you, will also be born again and again. In the future, you will see that the whole place will be full of saints and sages. Wherever you see, you will see ocher robes. Many great devotees, saints and sages will come here. People adorning high offices like presidents and ministers will also come here. Our students should not think that we are studying at a small institution. It is a sacred and noble ashram. The hosting facilities are not good enough at the moment. I will build more and more houses to accommodate the devotees. Next year, all types of canteens will start here. There will also be a hospital. In the corridor that emerged, Prema Sai will come and grant His Darshan. Avatar Sathya Sai will continue for a few more years. But after a while, I will return as Prema Sai and stay in this Ashram and grant Darshan and even teach the Truth. I am preparing this place and cultivating my heart before the advent of Prema Sai. Before it was the declaration, today it is the declaration.
